So we are blessed with an "extra" day this year!
I think I'll still fill that day....and wish I had extra time.

Girlfriends' Getaway is in about 3 weeks... LOTS of behind the scenes happening right now.

Just a few things I am really loving right now...

ONE

My new Silhouette Cameo, plugged IN, lots of projects in the pipeline... I played a little, made these cupcake toppers for someone. 

Left the file open, my computer did its own restart thing, and the files weren't saved. Hmm...rookie mistake #1

TWO

Enjoying the documenting part of my Project Life album using this online tool for daily journaling (it's as simple as replying to an email).

The courier guy greeted me with "happy Friday". I don't think he knows just how happy!

Planning ahead

I can feel the end of the year, it's so close.
Starting to 'plan' out the plans for next year, 2012.

Becky Higgins in the house...

....well almost!

This is VERY exciting news for me personally, as well as for South African scrapbookers and our local scrapbook market.

I have been an avid follower of Becky Higgins for as long as I can remember (remember Creative Companion days circa 2001?), and getting to meet her in 2003 was certainly a highlight. As you may have picked up from my own style, I love her simple designs and her realistic approach to documenting life.

Oooh... look at what minus 8 years looks like! CKU 2003 - my first Becky Higgins class "Idea Buffet"




Girlfriends' Getaway projects have for the last 3 years been loosely based on Becky's idea, including smaller panels for journaling etc. (look out for details of Girlfriends' Getaway 2012 coming soon.)

Now we get to play with the real thing, right here in our own backyard!  Check out Becky's original post here, and then place your pre-orders quick at our very own Project Life South Africa website.  I am loving this Clementine Kit ;)
